Whether you have just launched a new website, or are trying to create some buzz around your current one, there are a few simple things that you can do to begin.
1. Add the URL to your email signature
I personally send hundreds of emails a week, and when you think of it this way, that’s hundreds of potential click-throughs. And while you are at it, let people know about your social media presence (i.e linkedin profile, twitter account). A great way to engage with clients!
2. Update your voicemail
Although not suitable to every business type, many businesses can benefit from adding their website address to their voicemail message. Not only will you inform your callers of your new website, chances are your well designed and written website will answer their question for you.
3. Social Media
So you just launched a new website, new product/service anything you might want to announce to the world? Twitter is the newest way to let the world know! But don’t forget about Linkedin, Facebook and other social media sites. They are also useful tools!
4. Update collateral
All marketing collateral should reflect your new URL. Once you have updated your collateral, why not create a special campaign (letter, postcard etc) and let your clients know about your new/updated website!
5. Use existing online avenues
Create a blog entry to let people know, send out a newsletter promoting awareness of the website. All simple, yet very effective tools!
6. Announce it
Get on the phone to your clients, let them know the next time you meet with them. It’s simple, but how many of you think to do it?
